Claim: How do I file a claim for monetary damages against the City?
Claim forms are available at City Hall, 1000 Webster Street, on the 4th Floor. A claim form can be requested by calling the City Attorney's office at 707.428.7419.

Claim: How is the claim handled after it is filed?
After a claim is filed, it is forwarded to the City's claim adjuster for handling. They will contact the claimant to discuss the claim and determine damages. The adjuster reports to the City if the claim should be accepted or denied.
Claim: Is this the same thing as small claims court?
No, small claims court is part of the Solano County Courts. However, a person must have filed a claim with the City, and their claim must have been rejected by the City, before filing an action with the small claims court.
Complaint: What if I want to file a complaint against another department?
Please contact the department directly to file your complaint. The Police Department has a citizen complaint process. Forms for police related complaints can be obtained at the Police Department or at the front counter on the 4th floor of City Hall.
