The Building Division is continuing to provide all building division services.  However, City Hall will be closed to the public until at least April 7th.  Inspections will be performed and can be requested by calling 707.428.7570 or online via eTRAKiT. New plan submittals will be accepted via email, mail, and possibly by appointment.

The Building Division reviews all new construction and improvements to existing structures in the city of Fairfield.  Improvements are checked for safety and building code compliance.

We are pleased to offer our citizens and California contractors access to online services via our eTRAKiT system, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

Please note that due to short staffing levels, am or pm preference is not guaranteed.


Limited Friday (1st and 3rd) inspections will only be available if they are scheduled in person at the Building Division business counter by noon on the preceding Thursday. Friday inspections will be scheduled on a first come/first served basis, will not be made for a specific time (AM or PM), and will cost an additional $60 per occurrence, payable at the time of scheduling. Subdivision developers will be charged a minimum of $240 for 4 hours inspection time and $90 per hour thereafter.
