Fairfield has a history of successful partnerships with national retailers and retail developers, including the development of Westfield Solano Mall, Gateway Plaza, and Gateway Courtyard.

The City of Fairfield Redevelopment Agency offers opportunities in several redevelopment areas, including the  City Center Project Area which includes Fairfield’s downtown, and the North Texas Street Project Area.
