Various documents have been prepared to assist you with the planning permit process. These may be downloaded under the "General Information" heading below.  If you are unfamiliar with the Planning permit process, we do recommend that you speak with Planning Division staff before attempting to prepare an application submittal.   A planner can explain supplemental materials that must be submitted with each application.  You may contact the Planning Division Monday-Thursday at (707) 428-7461.   Please be aware that many projects which require a Planning Permit also require a Building Permit.  If you are looking for information about obtaining a Building Permit, click here.

Please note:  all applications for Planning permits must be submitted in person at the Community Development Department.  Applications by mail are not accepted.
