Aquatics

The City of Fairfield provides year round aquatic opportunities at the Aquatics Complex at Allan Witt Park. Enjoy the warm waters of the indoor facility during the fall, winter and spring. Cool off during the summer by enjoying our activity pool with retractable roof and outdoor amenities including the Big & Little Dipper water slides, Playland Lagoon and Li'l Squirt wet play area.

Looking for a new and exciting way to find this year’s pumpkin?
Come out to the indoor Aquatics Complex at Allan Witt Park and swim for your pumpkin. Bobbing for Pumpkins… is a definite afternoon of Family FUN!  You will even be able to decorate your pumpkin too.  Games and lots of fun will be had during this fabulous afternoon of fun. Register in person at the Fairfield Community Center, located at 1000 Kentucky Street, M-F* between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (*Excluding holidays and the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month); online with EZReg, by mail with a completed registration form and mail to Class Registrar at 1000 Webster Street, Fairfield, CA  94533, or by fax at 707.428.7437.

Would you like to improve your swimming ability and fitness in a positive environment with optional friendly competition? The Masters Swim team is just what you’re looking for! Our knowledgeable and experienced coaching staff welcomes anyone who wants to improve his or her swimming, regardless of your previous swimming experience. Masters swimming provides group training, written workouts, and coaching to all levels of swimmers, from current and former high school and college competitive swimmers to fitness swimmers and tri-athletes. Swimmers are assigned to lanes with others of similar ability, and workouts are adjusted according to the experience and ability of swimmers in each lane.

Aqua Aerobics

Designed to increase aerobic & muscular fitness as well as flexibility in a safe low impact environment.

Deep Water Running
No impact, aqua-aerobic class conducted in the deep water where you can work out at your own pace.  The aerobic portion varies from 35-45 minutes and uses a buoyancy belt or pool noodle that allows participants to vertical train and to fully utilize the water’s property of natural resistance to tone.

Lap Swim
Add great swim exercise to your daily routine.

Water Walkers
A great aerobic workout walking against the current in our river.

Shallow Aqua ROM (Range of Motion)
Uses slow paced, range of motion exercises without a cardio element for those participants who have arthritis, fiber myalgia and other skeletal-muscular disorders.  Class is designed to maintain and promote joint flexibility and enhance well being.  Participants do not need to know how to swim.  Hydraulic lift is available, as well as walk in steps.

Research shows that children who learn water safety skills also reap benefits in overall cognitive, physical and emotional development…. And it may also save lives!   Swim Lessons at the Aquatics Complex @ Allan Witt are 30 minutes in length and are based on the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor format.  An additional 5 minutes of supervised water activity playtime is included after the lesson. Class size is max of 6.  Students are tested on the first day of class to assess their abilities.  PLEASE NOTE: After assessments, students will be moved to the appropriate class if deemed necessary. 

10% multiple child discount is available and must be redeemed at the Registration Office located at 1000 Kentucky street, Monday – Thursday 11:00am – 5:30pm.

Alligators Recreation Swim Club

Come join us for summer aquatics fun. Participants must be a level 4 swimmer. Aquatics activities include daily swimming and stoke improvement and introduction to diving and more.

            M/W or T/Th                  3:30-5:00pm      $45.00/4 week session
            S/S                               9:00-10:30         $45.00/4 week session

Holiday Swim Camp at the Aquatics Complex
Looking to create and start off your magical holiday season?  Swim Camp at the Aquatics Complex for youth ages, 5 – 12 years old, is where all the spirit, enthusiasm and energy is to be found. Campers will enjoy a great week of adventures featuring swimming instruction, recreation swim, arts and crafts, movies, splash ball, water basketball, fitness and so much more. Summer is a great time to improve and gain more confidence in your child’s swimming skills. Our experienced Swim Camp staff will fill the days with fun, supervised activities.

·         $25 discount/camper for those registering for multiple sessions.
·         10% multiple child discount.

Camp Dates:

Required Camp items:  
●Healthy snacks and lunch each day with your favorite drink or water
