Senior Center

Who can use the Senior Center? 

If you are age 50 or older you can use the Fairfield Senior Center. You may choose to participate in any of our more than 50 clubs, or organizations, come to our holiday events, join in aerobics or one of our instructional classes, venture out and about by way of our day trip van, or on vacations home and abroad on specially selected packaged trips for our seniors. You may join us at our Dinner or just come to meet our patrons and find out about all the fun possibilities that await you.

What should I expect on my initial visit?

Active seniors having fun! If you like, we'll even get you started. One of our senior volunteers will be pleased to show you around, introduce you to others, and explain the activities the Center offers. You'll meet people right away because our customers are some of the friendliest people in town.

What about Social Services?

The Senior Center offers a number of social services. They include, AARP drivers training and tax preparation assistance, annual flu shots, advice and referral, and Area Agency on Aging serving Napa Solano County, and the Partnership Healthplan. The Fairfield Senior Center also provides educational presentations as available.

How can I join?

There is no membership fee! The Senior Center provides central services for seniors, many without charge. Fees for City sponsored activities are kept to a minimum. Clubs may elect to collect dues for the purpose of their organization and activities.

What is the Fairfield Senior Day Program?

The Fairfield Senior Day Program is a social day care program for seniors who need supervision, assistance, and social interaction. Public transportation is available and lunch and snacks are provided. For more information about this unique senior program and the activities it offers call 428.7654.

How is the Senior Center funded?

The Fairfield Senior Center is operated and funded primarily by the City of Fairfield, Community Resources Department. Additional funding is provided through donations, program fees, room rentals, fund-raising, grants, and from the Friends of the Fairfield Senior Center. Need a vacation or just a break? The Fairfield Senior Center offers quality vacation travel packages throughout the year. Cruises, international travel, and popular unique resorts are all part of the fun.

Meals on Wheels Lunch Program

Meals on Wheels of Solano County serves meals at the Fairfield Senior Center Monday through Thursday at 11:30 a.m.  You will need to complete an application in order to participate in the Meal Service Program.  Please call Meals on Wheels of Solano County 707.426.3079, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Information, as well as the current lunch menu can be found at http://mealsonwheelssolano.org/meal-programs/menu/.
