The City established the Adopt-A-Street program as another way for citizens to impact the beauty and cleanliness of our surroundings. Similar to the Adopt-A-Park program, groups, organizations, and individuals can "adopt" a street or portion of one. The group plans regular times for removing trash and debris, and checking the condition of signs and adjacent fencing for reporting back to City staff.
Adopting groups will be recognized by a sign being placed on their street, at City Council meetings, and through City publications and electronic posts. The City will also provide initial training, safety vests, garbage bags, and full bag removal after your activity.
