How do I file a Citizen’s Complaint?


Routine complaints, concerns, or questions can be directed to any on-duty patrol supervisor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (707) 428-7300.


Citizens who wish to file a formal, written complaint should use the preferred method of completing a Fairfield Police Department Citizen Complaint Packet. These forms are available below online or for pick-up in the police department lobby during normal business hours. Citizen Complaint Packets can also be mailed out upon request. Please contact the Professional Standards Unit at (707) 428-7339 to request a packet. Once the packet is received, citizens will be contacted by the Professional Standards Unit supervisor either by phone or by mail. Citizens may also address their complaint with the on-duty supervisor prior to requesting or completing a packet. Completed Citizen Complaint Packets may be returned to the police department lobby or mailed to the address below:
