| | | |  Police Explorers Program The Fairfield Police Department's Explorer Program is a program designed to involve young men and women in community events and increase citizen-police cooperation and understanding. The Police Explorer Program will provide both police related education and experience to our young adults wishing to pursue a law enforcement career and the opportunity to enjoy recreational activities, community service, and fundraising programs. What is a Police Explorer?A Police Explorer is a volunteer resource for the Fairfield Police Department. Each Police Explorer is additional personnel for the department's many successful crime prevention and community service projects and displays. Every Explorer is a representative of our community's youth. ActivitiesPolice Explorers participate in the Police Department with Neighborhood Watch, Quality Neighborhoods Team, assisting Communications, and Patrol Divisions. Qualified Explorers may ride along with Patrol Officers during patrol shifts. Explorers also participate in Police Explorer patrol shifts in teams of two. The department has several marked Explorer patrol vehicle for duty use.
