Annual Coast & Creek Cleanup
Last year, 2,604 volunteers from throughout Solano County joined nearly 100,000 other Californians in an international cleanup effort to protect the world's oceans. The cleanup is a way to keep harmful debris from making its way to coastlines from local beaches, waterways, and inland areas in California. This is California Coastal Commission's 27th annual Coastal Cleanup Day, locally known as Coast & Creek Cleanup.

In just three short hours last year, a total of 54,649 pounds of trash and 3,970 pounds of recyclables were picked up across the County from seventy miles of neighborhood parks, hiking trails, bridges, creeks, and lakes. Volunteers collected buckets full of plastic bags, food wrappers, and cigarette butts while heavy lifters removed tires, paint cans, and large appliances.
