The Fairfield Fire Department provides fire protection services with five strategically located stations covering all major portions of the city. In addition to these stations, we utilize the old main station on Union Avenue, now numbered Station 38, as a training and vehicle maintenance facility.
Station #40

Station #40 is located at 2555 Hilborn Drive, in the residential area of the Waterman Highlands. Station #40 provides coverage for Rancho Solano, Waterman, and Rolling Hills developments, as well as the I-80 corridor. Station #40 is the second busiest district in the city.
The following equipment is housed at Station #40:
- Engine 40 (Paramedic Staffed)
- Brush 40 (Type III Grass Rig)
