The current General Plan was adopted on December 3, 2024. The General Plan is organized by chapters called "elements." 

The General Plan Land Use Designation Map is provided in the Land Use and Urban Design Element on page 2-23. The Land Use Designation Map expresses the land use vision for future growth and development. Zoning designations in the City of Fairfield's Zoning Ordinance align with General Plan designations and apply regulations for development.
