Solano County urges everyone to get a flu shot!

Solano County Public Health Department confirms first case of flu and COVID-19 co-infection in a resident under the age of 65. Solano County Health Officer Dr. Bela T. Matyas, stated "With the likelihood of both COVID-19 and seasonal flu activity this winter, contracting either disease may weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to the other disease."

The flu vaccine takes two weeks to become fully effective, therefore Solano County Public Health urges everyone six months and older to get a flu vaccine as soon as possible.
