The City celebrates Public Service Recognition Week

Public Service Recognition Week is celebrated the first week of May to honor the people who serve our nation as federal, state, county, local and tribal government employees. This year, the City of Fairfield will mark the week by recognizing several key employees with City Manager commendations, individual or department awards, and years of service awards.

Angela Broaddus, Human Resources Manager, and the entire Parks & Recreation Department will be receiving a special City Manager commendation for “contributions which have resulted in success that reflects on the city and positively impacts the community and its stakeholders."

Several individuals and divisions, who were nominated by their peers, will receive awards for exhibiting “outstanding performance, superior dedication, and positive attitude."

In addition, 78 employees are celebrating five or more years with the city and five employees are celebrating 30 or more years of service with the City.
