Homeless Services assists with vaccine pop-up clinic for homeless

The Homeless Services Division has been actively involved in the Solano Team’s Racial Equity Action Lab (REAL), addressing anti-black racism and racial disparities in Bay Area Homelessness Response.

The Solano REAL Team, led by Homeless Services, and with the assistance of our Communication Division, developed an educational flyer specifically targeted toward homeless individuals and families regarding the dangers of coronavirus, local impacts caused by the virus, and the importance of getting vaccinated.

Local homeless in Fairfield were able to be personally notified about the vaccine pop-up clinic offering Johnson & Johnson vaccines at Community Action North Bay (CAN-B) on April 30th.

With this being only the first pop-up clinic planned, the Solano REAL Team’s objective is to ensure all people in Solano County experiencing homelessness have access to vaccines and reliable information regarding COVID-19.
