Established in 1994 as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3), the Fairfield Community Services Foundation has long provided support for parks, recreation and community services in Fairfield, with a particular focus on outreach to underserved populations.
The City of Fairfield values the generous partnership of the Fairfield Community Services Foundation that has allowed the Fairfield Parks & Recreation Department to provide recreational programs and services contributing to the physical, economic and environmental well-being of our community.
The Fairfield Community Services Foundation has provided more than $1.8 million in support of programs and equipment, including: park amenities; community concerts and special events at the Adult Recreation Center; swim scholarships for youth; backpack and school supply giveaways; coat and toy drives for youth in need; and the Fun on the Run mobile recreation program.
The Foundation has awarded over $50,000 in youth scholarships through the “Assist-A-Grad” program, and is an equal partner in providing operational support for the City’s Fun on the Run mobile recreation program which serves 13,000 children in 30 neighborhoods throughout our community.
Please join us in recognizing the generous contributions of the Fairfield Community Services Foundation and its volunteer partners at the July 18 City Council meeting.
