5:25 pm Update

Fairfield Fire and Police have been working with the County’s Office of Emergency Services since the Atlas fire began pushing across the Napa/Solano county line from the west. Since beginning evacuations in the Green Valley area over 36 hours ago, Fairfield has stationed fire resources strategically in the western part of town, and opened our Emergency Operations Center to plan for the fire’s encroachment into Fairfield.

The EOC is fully staffed with City staff from all departments working on logistics, planning, finance, and operations of this fire to ensure public safety, protect lives and property, and access maximum resources, when needed. The EOC has established and staffed a informaiton line to answer your questions – (707) 428-7320, activated its C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team), and the first team of Fire Explorers.

Other supportive City operations have ensured that our water resources are ready when called upon, open spaces and parks are closed to honor the Red Flag Warning from the County, and classes and outdoor activities in Parks & Rec have been halted.

Please stay vigilant in watching alerts that are posted to Police’s webpage, Nixle Alert System, TV Channels 26, 27 & 28, and City social media feeds.

The City suggests that all donations be made to the Red Cross at this time.
