The Fairfield/Vacaville Train Station received the Project of the Year Award from the American Public Works Association for the Northern California Region. The Train Station was selected as the top project in the region covering 11 counties in the Bay Area and Northern California. The award was announced on February 22, and accepted by City staff and their project partners.
The project was selected for the team’s performance in construction management, community relations, safety, partnerships, and environmental considerations. As the top project in the region, the Train Station will be considered for the national American Public Works Association Awards announced in the summer.
