Fairfield Earth Day and Kid's Day of Fishing returns on Saturday, April 21

It's that time of year again! Earth Day and Roberto Orlando Kid's Day of Fishing Derby returns to Civic Center Pond behind City Hall on Saturday, April 21.

Join in the community celebration of Earth Day by learning how to make our city more sustainable for future generations. The fun starts at 9 a.m. and booths include Solano Rocks (free rock painting!), Safe Routes to School, recyling information, and Fun on the Run, just to name a few! Free kid's finger printing will be provided and residents can sign up for a free energy or water assessments, too. There will be music and entertainment all day! See flyer.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. for the Roberto Orlando Kid's Day of Fishing Derby. First come, first served for the first 250 kids. Only special needs children may pre-register online or by calling Captain Mike at 707-816-2037. The pond will be stocked with 800 lbs. of catfish and trophies will be awarded for top fish! Full details here.
