Since 2012, the City of Fairfield, in partnership with Republic Services, has been recognizing businesses and schools that focus on sustainable practices, recycling, and diversion.
The Annual Green Business Awards highlight Fairfield businesses that are doing incredible work in these categories and are inspiring others in the community to do the same. Sustainable practices can help businesses operate more efficiently and effectively by saving resources and money.
The 2018 Fairfield Green Business Awards were presented by Republic Service’s General Manager Kevin Flanagan and Recycling Coordinator Sandra Gonzalez, along with Esther Blanco of the City’s Public Works Department at the May 1 City Council meeting.
The awardees were as follows: Anheuser-Busch, Trader Joe’s, Gone for Good – United Cerebral Palsy North Bay, and Solano Community College Men’s Basketball Team. Congratulations to all of our amazing winners! Thank you for keeping Fairfield green! See photos.
